Spiritual Companion Training and Courses
Three Levels of Courses
Level One — Explore Your Spirituality
These are stand-alone and short courses to explore and develop your spirituality.
Level Two — Guidelines Course: Become a Spiritual Companion
Having completed 60 hours of courses at Level One you can then join a Spiritual Companions Guidelines course, to deepen all that you have done in Level One. It gives you entry to joining Spiritual Companions. You have to meet the Spiritual Companions Guidelines.
Level Three — Professional Certificate
Once you have become a Spiritual Companion (Levels One and Two) you can then move on to the SC Professional Course (Level Three, 60 hours) and achieve your Professional Certificate in Spiritual Studies and Companionship. This requires engaging with the seven extra guidelines (You will find these extra guidelines on the same web page as the Spiritual Companions Guidelines.) The Spiritual Companions Trust and College of Teachers will award this certificate.
The Fast Track into the Spiritual Companions community and network is for those people whose prior education and experience mean that they are exemplary in practising the Spiritual Companions Guidelines.

SPIRITUALITY IN ACTION: Spiritual Companions Level 1
Spirituality in Action is for people already interested in spirituality and also want to develop some listening skills.
This course made up of 60 hours Spiritual Development meets the requirements of Spiritual Companions Level One.
The 30 hours training on Listening Skills is an added bonus. You will learn some communication skills that will enrich your relationship with people.
You will develop more self-awareness and put into practice the communication skills learnt during the course. Read more…
FOUNDATION YEAR: SPIRITUAL PRACTICE and COUNSELLING SKILLS :Spiritual Companions Level 2
This course is for people who have completed Level 1 of the training and wish to continue to become a Spiritual Companion. You may have completed Level 1 with us or with another of our Educators.
Loving care and attention will be offered to support you through this course. The group will work together to explore all the Spiritual Companions Guidelines. You will:
- practice the guidelines in the group
- work with peers to deepen and assess your practices
- prepares you to be able to join the Spiritual Companions network and community
At the end of the course you may wish to join the Spiritual Companions network. In order to do that you will need to complete a reflective review on each of the guidelines explaining: how you first came upon it, what are your current strengths and weaknesses, how would we see you working to this guideline in your daily practice. The written paper is to have more than 5000 words. Two Spiritual Companion Educators, one of who will be your course tutor, will assess your reflective review. Read more…
SPIRITUAL COUNSELLING TRAINING 2015: Professional Certificate Level 3
On completion of Level 1 & 2 you may wish to go on to do the 60 hours Spiritual Companions Professional Course and achieve your Professional Certificate in Spiritual Studies and Companionship. This requires engaging with the seven extra guidelines (You will find these extra guidelines on the same web page as the Spiritual Companions Guidelines.) This allows you to work as a Spiritual Companion with individuals and small groups. The Spiritual Companions Trust and College of Teachers will award this certificate.
